Casette and Bottom Matching Bar

The matching cassette is the cover at the top of the blind where the fabric rolls up, we provide it white as standard but this can be upgraded for a refined/matching/different look

The bottom matching bar is the piece at the bottom of the blind that helps it hang straight, also matching the blind to keep everything looking tidy.

Vertical Face vs Top Fixed

What is face-fixed window blind?

When a window blind is face-fixed, it is installed onto a wall, and occasionally on the window frame (although this is less common). Face-fixed blinds are typically associated with exact fit blinds that are mounted on the wall outside of a recess or for blinds covering a non-recessed window.

What is a top-fixed window blind?

A top-fixed window blind is installed in an upward direction, typically at the top of the recess or ceiling. Our brackets offer flexibility, allowing you to choose either top or face fixing for your blind.

What Is Bunch Or Stack?

"Bunch" or "stack" simply refers to the side where all the louvres gather when the blind is fully open, revealing the window.

Left Hand Stack

Left Hand Stack, also known as left-hand bunch, describes a blind with all the louvres gathering to the left side when open.

Right Hand Stack

Right Hand Stack, also known as right-hand bunch, describes a blind with all the louvres gathering to the right side when open.

Split Stack

Split Stack indicates that when the blind is fully open, the louvres divide, with half bunching to the left and half to the right, resembling a split down the middle, akin to a pair of curtains opening.

Frequently asked questions

How should I measure my window for blinds?

We recommend using a high-quality steel measuring tape to measure the width in three different places and the drop. Refer to our comprehensive Measuring Guide, which includes detailed step-by-step instructions

What distinguishes a 'Recess Size' from a 'Blind Size'?

When ordering blinds on our website, specify whether your measurements are for a 'Recess Size' or 'Blind Size.' The distinction is crucial as it impacts the final size of your blind.

1. A Recess Size pertains to the internal measurements of your window reveal. Provide exact wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-sill measurements with no reductions, and we'll make the necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit within the space.

2. A Blind Size is the precise size you desire for the blind, including brackets. This is applicable when mounting the blind on the wall outside your window recess.

How do I measure my bay window for blinds?

Measuring for a bay window can be tricky due to necessary reductions in the corners. Simply provide us with measurements of all available space and the bay angle, and we'll handle the reductions for a perfect fit.

I plan to fit my blind outside the recess.

The degree of overlap is at your discretion, but as a general rule, we advise a 10cm overlap.

How easy is it to install my blinds?

Fitting window blinds is generally straightforward. Everything inlcuding Brackets are provided, which are easily screwed into your recess or wall for the blind to fit into. Visit our Fitting Guide for specific instructions and step-by-step guidance.

Can I change the control side on my roller blind?

Certainly. If the blind is already installed, remove it from the brackets, pull the entire control mechanism out from one side of the roller blind tube, remove the pin from the opposite end, and reinsert them on the opposite sides. You may need to swap brackets if they only match one end.

Are your blackout blinds truly blackout?

Yes, our blackout blinds feature proper 3-pass blackout fabrics, ensuring complete light reduction. For minimal light ingress, consider our Total Blackout Cassette Roller Blind.
