Control Side

The control side refers to the side from which you want to operate your blinds. When selecting, choose the side of the blinds that is most easily accessible.

Measurement Size

Using a metal tape measure, measure the visible glass only inside the frame—edge to edge—first the width, then the drop. Do not include the rubber beading/gasket or any part of the frame; record the glass size only (in mm).

Bracket Size

Perfect Fit Blinds are designed for uPVC windows and doors with a bead depth between 18mm and 31mm. Measure from the frame face to the glass to find your bead depth. Note that this product is not suitable if your bead depth is 32mm or greater.
We have brackets in sizes from 18mm to 30mm. If your measurement falls between two bracket sizes, always select the smaller one. For instance, a 21mm bead depth requires a 20mm bracket, and a 23mm bead depth requires a 22mm bracket. A 24mm bead depth uses a 24mm bracket. Perfect Fit Shutters are not suitable for windows and doors with square frames.

Number of Panels

Handle Position

Measuring the handle position is simple: Fully open the window handle so the base plate is visible. Then measure to the centre of the base plate (from the nearest frame edge) and note which side it sits on—left, right, or none (no handle).

Now measure from the edge of the visible glass to the center of the handles base plate.

  • Measure from the edge of the visible glass to the centre of the handle’s base plate. Handle at the bottom: take a horizontal measurement from the left glass edge to the centre of the base plate.
OR
  • Handle on the left or right side: take a vertical measurement from the bottom glass edge to the centre of the base plate. (Record in millimetres and measure the glass only, not the frame or rubber beading.)

Measure Cover Guarantee

We're making made-to-measure even simpler with our reassuring Measure Cover measuring guarantee!

Adding Measure Cover to your order means that even if you make a mistake with your measurements and your blind doesn't fit, you'll be able to claim a like-for-like replacement for up to 4 of your blinds for free. The only cost to you will be any difference in price, if your new measurements are larger.

Tape Color Options

Sizing

Inside Recess Size: Opt for this option when installing within a window recess. We'll subtract 12mm from the width you provide to accommodate the brackets, with no deduction on the drop.

Exact Size: Choose this size if you're installing outside the window recess or if you already know the precise dimensions you want for your blind—no deductions will be made to the width or drop.

Note : No deductions are made to the drop of the blind. The descriptions provided above only pertain to the width of the blind.

Control Option

Cord & Chain:

If you choose a Cord & Chain control option, you will receive a cord for tilting the vanes open/close and a separate Cord & Chain for drawing the vanes to one side or split (your 'Bunch' option). These will be positioned on the same side, either left or right.

Wand:

If you choose a Wand option ( White wand with classic and platinum White head rail or Black wand with the other platinum headrails ) which would replace both the cords. You can twist the rod to tilt the vanes open/closed or manually pull the rod across the window to open or closed the blind.

Wrapped Cassette and Bottom Bar

Casette and Bottom Matching Bar

The matching cassette is the cover at the top of the blind where the fabric rolls up, we provide it white as standard but this can be upgraded for a refined/matching/different look

The bottom matching bar is the piece at the bottom of the blind that helps it hang straight, also matching the blind to keep everything looking tidy.

Vertical Face vs Top Fixed

What is face-fixed window blind?

When a window blind is face-fixed, it is installed onto a wall, and occasionally on the window frame (although this is less common). Face-fixed blinds are typically associated with exact fit blinds that are mounted on the wall outside of a recess or for blinds covering a non-recessed window.

What is a top-fixed window blind?

A top-fixed window blind is installed in an upward direction, typically at the top of the recess or ceiling. Our brackets offer flexibility, allowing you to choose either top or face fixing for your blind.

Headrail

LOUVRES/Slats ONLY

Stack Side

What Is Bunch Or Stack?

"Bunch" or "stack" simply refers to the side where all the louvres gather when the blind is fully open, revealing the window.

Left Hand Stack

Left Hand Stack, also known as left-hand bunch, describes a blind with all the louvres gathering to the left side when open.

Right Hand Stack

Right Hand Stack, also known as right-hand bunch, describes a blind with all the louvres gathering to the right side when open.

Split Stack

Split Stack indicates that when the blind is fully open, the louvres divide, with half bunching to the left and half to the right, resembling a split down the middle, akin to a pair of curtains opening.
